How to open eBook Files

First, launch the eBook Reader Pro app:

  • Press the Windows key or click the Windows/Start icon
  • Type eBooks Reader Pro and locate the app that comes up in the best match entries
  • Click the entry of the eBooks Reader Pro app to launch the app

To open an eBook:

  • Click Open an eBook from the home page or from the side navigation menu bar
  • From the “Open Document” dialog box, navigate to the folder where you store the eBook file
  • Locate and select the eBook file and then click the Open button

Your eBook will be opened and displayed for reading.

How to use Table of Contents

For eBooks that support Table of Contents (TOC), like EPB files, you can jump to a specific section of the book through TOC entries. 

  • Locate the eBook Viewer Menu icon that looks like a hamburger icon (with three horizontal strips) in the eBook viewer window. There are two hamburger icons right next to each other. One is at the top of the side navigation menu bar, the other is to the right of it. Click the second hamburger icon.
  • This launches the Option flyout Window which contains the TOC, the search, the book information, and the Viewer settings.
  • The TOC area should be selected by default with its content already displayed. If not, click the TOC icon at the top of the Option flyout Window. 
  • Browse and navigate through the TOC entries. Locate a topic of your interest and click the entry of the topic to turn to the page.

How to search an eBook

For eBooks that support the search function, like EPB files, you can search single or multiple keywords and jump to a section from the search result entries. 

  • Locate the eBook Viewer Menu icon that looks like a hamburger icon (with three horizontal strips) in the eBook viewer window. There are two hamburger icons right next to each other. One is at the top of the side navigation menu bar, the other is to the right of it. Click the second hamburger icon.
  • This launches the Option flyout Window which contains the TOC, the search, the book information, and the Viewer settings.
  • Open the Search option by clicking the Search icon , which is the  second icon that looks like a magnifier.
  • In the search textbox, type the keyword or a search phrases and then press the Enter key. The app will conduct an extensive search and then presents you with matching results. 
  • Click an entry from the result area to navigate to the page that contains the matching text.

How to browse free Kindle books

eBooks Reader Pro brings you a catalog of free Kindle books that you can download from the Amazon Kindle store. The best part of the feature is that this catalog is updated on a daily basis. 

To access the Free Kindle Books catalog, click the Free Kindle Books icon:  on the side menu bar, or the Get Free Kindle Books button from the home screen. Toggle the expand icon to display the entire list of genre.  

Each genre contains a collection of free Kindle books that are available under that category. Use the page navigation control located at the top of the book list window to navigate through all books under the selected category. 

The All category contains the entire free book collection of the day. It can sometimes exceeds 400 or 500 books. So, take your time to find the books you like.

How to Search for Free Kindle Books

The app provides a search feature to help you find a book of your interest even faster. Search can be performed over the entire database (all the free books available) or based on a specific genre.

To search within a genre:

  • From the side menu bar, expand the Free Kindle Books menu
  • Browse through the genre list to find the specific genre of your interest, you may need to scroll down to explore all genres available.
  • Click to select the genre of your interest
  • Find the search edit box located in the top-right corner of the Book Catalog window
  • Type a keyword or a phrase and hit Enter

The search result will be displayed in the Book Catalog window.

To clear the search result, click the cancel icon X on the right edge of the search edit box, or click the Home  icon to the left of the search edit box. 

How to Acquire Free Kindle Books

From the book collection list, when you see a book of interest, click the cover of the book to review the excerpt of the book. 

If you decide that you like the book, click the Button: Get the Book from the Kindle Store. This opens the Kindle book listing page on the Kindle store, from where you can acquire the Kindle book.

  1. An Amazon account is required in order to acquire Kindle books, even if they are free. 
  2. The free Kindle books are based Amazon.com’s Kindle book offer. If you are located outside of the United States, please follow this guide to learn how to acquire free Kindle books from a different country.
